Activity level is listed on each of our birding tour pages. These categories are used to describe what you can expect on our tours.
Light – Most birding will be done along roadsides or on relatively flat and well-maintained trails. Many of the days on our easy tours will involve just a little walking/hiking.
Moderate – While some birding will be along roadsides and on relatively flat and well-maintained trails, the majority of our days will involve some birding on trails that could have some elevation change and could be muddy or less well-maintained.
Strenuous – The majority of our birding will be done on trails that have significant elevation change and could be muddy or less well-maintained. You consider yourself to be physically fit to participate in a tour in the strenuous category.
In our Activity Level descriptions on each tour page, you might notice that two activity levels are listed. This means that there will be days on these tours that fit in each of the categories. Each evening during the tour, we will go over the activities for the next day so that you are aware of what the day will entail.
