This is a birding tour, designed to see as many bird species as possible, with special focus on specialty species.

Colombia is one of the most exciting countries in South America for birding! Join us on this tour to see the wonderful birds of the incredible Santa Marta region of Colombia. Our tour will start in Cartagena. From here, we will visit the famous Santa Marta region. This region is known for its incredible number of endemic species including Santa Marta Foliage-gleaner, Santa Marta Blossomcrown, Santa Marta Woodstar, Santa Marta Parakeet, Santa Marta Warbler, Santa Marta Bush-Tyrant, and more! Then, we’ll travel east to the dry forest along the Caribbean. Along the way, we’ll stop to look for a few specialties including Chestnut-winged Chachalaca, Russet-throated Puffbird, and Northern Screamer. Once we are in the dry forest, there are a host of special birds for us to find including Vermilion Cardinal, Orinocan Saltator, Chestnut Piculet, Buffy Hummingbird, and much more!
