“Texas in April” are quite possibly three of the most exciting words in American birding. The diversity and sheer volume of birds that flow through Texas during the peak of spring migration can be mind- boggling. We will have fantastic opportunities to photograph shorebirds, wading birds, and neotropical migrant songbirds in some of the renowned hotspots of the upper Texas coast. Few places in the United States can compete with the Texas coast in terms of the diversity and total numbers of birds that flow through during the peak of spring migration and we will be there at the perfect time to witness this incredible event unfolding. This tour is specifically designed to put you in the absolute best places to photograph this spectacle of nature first-hand and give you an experience you won’t soon forget!

Our extension will take us to the Rio Grande Valley to photograph at Laguna Seca Ranch. This incredible photography setup will provide us opportunities to photograph a variety of Valley specialties including Olive Sparrow, Great Kiskadee, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Painted Bunting, Green Jay, Pyrrhuloxia, and many more. In addition to the ranch, we will spend time photographing at some of the other famous Rio Grande Valley hotspots.
