Tucked away in Ponderosa Pines on National Forest property, we will work from a blind which will provide ample opportunity to photograph some of the iconic species that call the Pacific Northwest home such as Clark’s Nutcracker, Pinyon Jay, Red Crossbill, Cassin’s Finch, and White-headed Woodpecker. Several species that we will have an opportunity to photograph are rather difficult to photograph in other locations.
Sabrewing Nature Tours photography workshops provide an immersive photography experience in a small group setting with less time commitment than our full-length tours. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from our professional guides in the field and during one-on-one sessions. Our photography workshops focus on quality over quantity, with incredible species in exciting destinations.
This tour will begin on September 29 with a welcome dinner. The tour will end after a morning photo session on October 2.
Our photography workshop prices include the welcome dinner, permits, photography sessions in the field, and one-on-one midday lessons with the guide. Field sessions are working with one of our professional photography guides to help get you set up for the best photos possible. Midday sessions allow you to learn one-on-one from your guide on topics such as editing, image selection, camera settings, and any other questions you might have. This time is focused on anything you want to discuss with your guide before the remaining field sessions.
Prices do NOT include lodging, meals other than the welcome dinner, and transportation. We will provide information on where we recommend for meals and lodging upon your registration for the workshop.
