Florida is a photographer’s mecca with high concentrations of birds and the opportunity for getting close to our subjects! Join us as we explore the beaches, marshes, and wetlands of central Florida. We will visit several rookeries to witness mating rituals, baby birds, and nest building of several wader species with a focus on Roseate Spoonbill. A private boat trip will get us up close and personal with many species including the endangered Snail Kite. Other species of note include Snowy Plover, Wilson’s Plover, Black Skimmer, Purple Gallinule, Reddish Egret, Burrowing Owl, Limpkin, and the state’s only endemic, the Florida Scrub-Jay.
